That crazy Skull King. He knows how to take care of himself; but will he manage to get his ship back?

Here is today’s page! Right on time. I actually didn’t think I’d make it!
Anyway, it looks as if we’re going to see what the good King is up to. You’ll have to find out on Thursday!
Now we know where we are, I guess. Doesn’t look like a very nice place though.
Sorry the comic was late! I went to Chicago last night to see POLYSICS. It was a very fun show, and totally worth the 8-hour round trip! I’m exhausted now, even after sleeping all day trying to recuperate.
David is finally reunited with his piles of treasure. Things are almost getting back to normal!
Check out his ninja mask breathing device though. He is such a clever guy, isn’t he?
Hey guys! Here is today’s comic. Really, David can’t help but constantly find or re-find his treasure. Especially the marbles.
How to play David’s marble game, which he calls “Half and Half”:
- Draw a big circle on the ground, with a line drawn of the diameter of the circle
- Dump a bunch of marbles onto one half of the circle
- Flick marbles into the circle one by one, aiming to hit the other marbles over to the other side of the circle
- The game is over when all of the marbles are on one side of the circle.
Here’s today’s page! Enjoy!
If you saw the secret bonus sketch edition of the page, you might notice that I changed some things a little bit (other than cleaning them up and inking them, obviously). If you didn’t see the secret bonus sketch edition… I have no idea what that is either.
Here we are, back to David the Treasure Hunter.
Hope you like it! No more breaks for a little while. Next page on Tuesday!
Man! This is cutting it pretty close. Don’t worry though, I’ve prepared some more stuff and now I think it’s time for a little intermission from David the Treasure Hunter!
Starting Thursday and going for a few updates after that, we’re going to take a look at the history of the Skull King. It was an idea I had and actually drew out a while ago, but didn’t until now have a great opportunity to wedge it in. But this is a good breaking point. Cliffhanger, I know, but that’s the point! This is also right where I left off when I stopped updating my old LiveJournal and starting posting things here. So now everyone is caught up. History of the Skull King on Thursday and a few updates after that, and then ALL NEW MATERIAL! We’re doing this. Totally.
As for this page. I guess it’s not really that the big momma Sea Horse is angry, it’s just that a giant beast like that kicks up a lot of water without even realizing it. Also, I’m not sure how I did with some of the frames. I really put this page off because I didn’t like what I had sketched and I didn’t want to ink it, but now that it’s done I think I could have done a worse job. The nice part, though, is that I’m done with it and I’m excited for the next pages that I get to draw.
Alright! See you back here Thursday. Thank you for reading!!
Woooaaahhh!
Fun fact: I was considering titling this post “Such Great Heights.” You know? Like that song that was popular five years ago? Well, I decided not to. But it’s kind of fitting, I think.
I also gotta tell you guys about Blip Festival in New York City. I went with my brother Curt (check some of these links to his stuff) and had a great time. It was exhausting and I am frankly glad to be done with it, but I had a blast the entire time and don’t regret a thing, even though I am sore all over and I think I’m getting sick.
Okay well that is all. I feel like the accompanying blog posts to the comics are always kind of awkward. I don’t know! WhatEVER!
Hurrah! But of course you can’t just plunder and get away with it freely, right? Well, usually you can but not this time. We’ll see what’s happened on Thursday!
Also, I just got back from Blip Festival 2009. It’s an annual Chiptune music festival that takes place in New York City. I’m writing this before I’ve left though, so I can’t really tell you a whole heck of a lot about it. I’m sure I had a lot of fun, though!! My first time going to NYC, too. AND it’s almost Christmas! Times are crazy, you guys.
