I don’t think I have ever shown David eating anything! Gotta eat!
I switched up some backgrounds ’cause I was tired of drawing bricks. It makes for a kind of boring backdrop.

Hey guys! I’ve been awake since yesterday. Here is today’s page!
I think it looks pretty nice. I can’t decide if I want the castle to be lit inside or really dark, so I am just going room by room.
Another update next Tuesday! It will be there, and you will read it.
Hey guys… kinda late, but some stuff happened! Anyway, here is the page.
Okay. Some of the astute readers might look back at the last issue and think “didn’t David already find his way into the castle?” The answer is yes, he did, but he didn’t really get a good look around!
Hope you like it! See you Thursday.
Ohhh look I finally did it. Welcome to the first page of volume two, now in color! And with a word balloon! And a font that I made (and might change).
Tell me what you think, okay?
Woo woo
Okay so this is just a dumb little sketch, but it is also an ANNOUNCEMENT that in ONE WEEK there will be a whole new series of dumb little sketches coming out twice a week for a while, again!
I am returning to David the Treasure Hunter after a very drawn out vacation. I’ve been up to other stuff, okay? Real world stuff. It got a little bit crazy.
Anyway, that’s all dumb and nobody cares! More comics in a week! Get pumped up and excited and silly!
Alright… so I’m a little late, but here it is! The final page of the first issue.
Feel free to click that ALPHA button to go to the first page and read what we’ve got so far in its entirety. 36 pages seems like a lot more when I actually go back and look at all the stuff I drew. I had fun doing this, and I hope you all had fun reading it!
So let’s talk about some stuff. Like I said before, I think I’m going to take a break for a while, just to write out some ideas for future issues and get things organized. To be honest, I really just jumped into this whole thing on a whim one day and just sort of created a schedule for myself. I might do a little tweaking with how the site is set up to accommodate having multiple issues. I’m thinking about switching how I do the shading – either way, I can assure you issue 2 will have a more consistent art style, now that I’ve got a pretty good handle on how to use my wonderful comic drawing program.
Anyway! I’ve also been looking into getting this bad boy printed. More details on that as they come.
I wish I were more popular so I could have a guest artist week or something. Maybe someday, right? Don’t worry, you can expect some little mini-comics. Check back periodically!
Well look at that. They found each other!
LAST PAGE is on Tuesday! And then I’m probably going to have to release printed volumes. Also, there might be a short intermission in the regular updating schedule. I’ll try not to let it go too long, and hopefully I’ll have some cool little extra comics to post here instead. I’ll figure it out and let you all know!
Skull King lands conveniently close to a pile of marbles. David is so forgetful!
Two more pages and the issue is finished! Rad!
The Captain has quite a title going at this point. He just keeps taking on new forms! This is his best one yet, because he has gained some mobility. Who knows if it’s the crab or Skull King who decides where to go, though (probably the Skull King).
In other news, there are only 3 pages left and then Issue #1 is all done! Will David and his captain reunite? What will happen to the ship? Is the Sea Horse gone for good? Honestly, I don’t think I can fit all of that in! Don’t worry though, it’ll come together and set up for Issue #2 nicely. I’m sure of it!
The Skull King makes some friends at the bottom of the sea. I drew it in a lot more detail than you can really make out in this size.
Here is a full size version (without shading, which is done at a low resolution and looks really weird and distracting up close). I think my process could use some tweaking, but I think after this issue I’m just going to do single color shading.
Alright, that’s enough outta me! See you on Thursday!
